I was recently contacted by sculptor John Magnan of Mattapoisiett to photograph an installation of his work at a local home. His beautiful wood sculptures were commissioned by the homeowners to bring the outside in. 

These sculptures were inspired by the homeowners' love for the land and waterways of Marion harbor. It is their place of inspiration and oneness with nature. It connects them with memories and emotions, with lives lived and being lived, with the land's history and their place within it. It is their 'thin place'.-John Magnan

The intricate details of these pieces are impressive, and it was important when photographed that the lighting enhance these details and the beautiful wood grain.

The placement in the main living area brings great enjoyment to the homeowners and each animal was chosen specifically. Read more about the project here.
